CONGRATULATIONS! Rodney is engaged to singer/songwriter Rose Falcon. That happened in June. “She’s sweet and everything good,” he said. The couple are hoping to wed this winter, he said.

Rodney is also working on his fifth studio album with the first single set to be released around Sept. 1.

Keith Urban will help kickoff the 94th season of NFL football on the NFL Kickoff 2013 Presented by Pepsi event. Keith will perform live from a stage floating in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Coverage of the 60-minute pre game show will air from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on NBC and NFL Network.

Keith will perform music from his upcoming new album, “Fuse,” to be released Sept. 10.

Danielle Bradbery, winner of “The Voice,” will perform the national anthem prior to kickoff of the Baltimore at Denver game that kicks off the NFL’s season on Sept. 5.

Local country music artist Donnie Wood’s new music video, “Bad Good Ol Boy,” is about to release. You can hear Donnie and his band play at Jekyll and Hyde’s on East Street in Frederick from 9 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Lauren Alaina, runner-up to Scotty McCreery, on the 2011 season of “American Idol,” will take one of the stages at In The Street, which covers several blocks of North Market Street in downtown Frederick on Sept. 14. WFRE presents a couple more shows — Brynn Marie in the H Lounge at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. at 8 p.m. Aug. 14.
