CMA Awards show is Nov. 6 on ABC.

Until then, here are the nominees (announced Sept. 10). My predicted winners are in bold.

— Entertainer of the year — Blake Shelton, George Strait, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift

He’s hotter than tailgate in the Georgia summer sun.

— Single of the year: “Cruise,” Florida Georgia Line; “Highway Don’t Care,” Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban; “Mama’s Broken Heart,” Miranda Lambert; “Merry Go ‘Round” Kacey Musgraves; and “Wagon Wheel,” Darius Rucker

“Cruise” can’t lose. This was the song of summer and the year.

— Album of the Year: “Based on a True Story,” Blake Shelton; “Blown Away,” Carrie Underwood; “Red,” Taylor Swift; “Same Trailer Different Park,” Kacey Musgraves; “Tornado,” Little Big Town

The strongest album in the bunch.

 — Song of the Year: “I Drive Your Truck,” “Mama’s Broken Heart,” Merry Go ‘Round,” “Pontoon” and “Wagon Wheel.”

Hmmm. Where’s “Cruise”? Not my songs of the year, but Darius Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel” was certainly the most fun.

— Female Vocalist of the Year: Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift

I’m picking Carrie this year. Sorry Miranda.

— Male Vocalist of the Year: Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan

Blake again, for a solid mix on his album.

— Vocal Group of the Year: Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band

Going with Kimberly and the boys — the Perry boys that is.

Florida Georgia Line is up for single, vocal duo, musical event and new artist of the year.

Florida Georgia Line is up for single, vocal duo, musical event and new artist of the year.

— Vocal Duo of the Year: Big & Rich, Florida Georgia Line, Love and Theft, Sugarland and The Civil Wars

What?? No Thompson Square?? I only see two duos who have made an impact this year — FGL and L&T. So I’m going with Florida Georgia Line.

— Musical Event of the Year: “Boys Round Here,” Blake Shelton and Pistol Annies; “Cruise,” FGL with Nelly; “Don’t Rush,” Kelly Clarkson featuring Vince Gill; “Highway Don’t Care,” Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban; and “The Only Way I Know,” Jason Aldean with Luke Bryan and Eric Church.

Blake or Florida Georgia Line ? I’m going with “Cruise.”

— Music Video of the Year: “Blown Away,” Carrie Underwood; “Boys Round Here,” Blake Shelton featuring Pistol Annies; “Downtown,” Lady A; “Highway Don’t Care,” Tim McGraw, et al. “Mama’s Broken Heart,” Miranda Lambert.

Around here, it’s “Boys Round Here.”

— New Artist of the Year: Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Kacey Musgraves, Kip Moore, Lee Brice

Lee Brice …. how long has that boy been around?? I gotta go with FGL on this one too.

So, who do you think will win?  Or am I right?
