Theboot.com reports that Jason Aldean is not happy with Zac Brown’s trashing of buddy Luke Bryan’s new single. “There’s certain artists I really like what they do and certain artists I’m not that big of a fan. But I’m not publicly going to go out and trash ’em,” Aldean says. Justin Moore, Tyler Farr and Will Hoge have also come to the defense of Bryan’s song “That’s My Kinda Night.”

Songwriter Dallas Davidson, who co-wrote it with Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano, told rough stock.com that for Brown “to come out publicly and dog on other artists and dog on a song and the songwriters, to me, is just unacceptable and it’s not nice.” Behind closed doors is one thing, he said, but in public is not something that an artist should do.

“To say that kind of song (about tailgates and parties) doesn’t fit in our genre is mind boggling because it absolutely does,” Davidson continued. ” … I think the downloads and the ticket sales that come with those big hit songs are the facts, and that’s really all that matters to me. I’m going to keep that and keep writing what I know about, and hopefully people that don’t like what I’m doing will keep it to themselves.”

“Goodnight Kiss” is the third single release from Randy Houser’s “How Country Feels” album.

“We all remember those dates when we’d pick up the girl and pretty much we’d have to go through the whole routine of the movie, and the dinner, and riding around, and all… all before we could ever get to the goodnight kiss. I finally had the epiphany that you can start with the goodnight kiss and just really never go do any of that other stuff, and I thought well hell, nobody’s ever written about that yet! So Rob (Hatch), Jason (Sellers) and I started writing it, and we had a blast. It was a good time.”

Houser is currently performing headlining dates across the country and will join Justin Moore on the Off the Beaten Path Tour in November, along with Josh Thompson. Prior to “Goodnight Kiss,” Houser also leant his powerhouse vocals to the Kristy Lee Cook ballad, “Wherever Love Goes.”

“Goodnight Kiss” sounds like another chart topper for Randy!
