Garth Brooks is back and is heading out on a world tour in 2014. Nothing like wading back into performing live than a little old world tour. In case you have forgotten who Garth Brooks is during his 10 years off while his kids were “growing up,” there’s a new box set of his music with 77 songs and 33 music videos. Garth will continue to play in Las Vegas through January. Tour dates and stops are to be announced later.

The tour will also stop in England, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, Norway and Sweden. The album will drop in the states in May.

Did you catch Carrie Underwood’s “The Sound of Music” live performance. Critics and SoM movie fans have been a wee bit harsh. I liked the show. It was like theater, not a movie. I think the vocals were great! It’s not one of my favorite movies, but I watched the entire show. Don’t try to compare it to the movie. Take it for what it was: a live TV performance. Kudos to Carrie and the cast!

Six-time Grammy Award-winning group Asleep At The Wheel will open the show at AT&T Stadium, and country superstars Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack will perform three songs each.
