Last night I had the chance to preview the Artist Angle’s new space at 124 South Carroll Street. It promises to be a full-service marketing resource for artists. Because self-promotion is not the strong suit of many creative types, this is a welcome addition to downtown Frederick.
Despite being located in a basement, the 1800-square-foot space has plenty of charm. There are both antique-paneled walls as well as the more traditional white ones to showcase art. Besides the gallery, there will be a custom framing shop with discounts for members, printing opportunities and a classroom area. It will also be the headquarters of Artomatic@Frederick. The space is scheduled to open to the public in September.
Artist Angle membership is $50 per year. To learn about the online gallery and other benefits, check out theartistsangle.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
