Now that the snow from Snowzilla is finally starting to melt and you’re eager to get out of your house, it’s time to reevaluate the status of your 2016 New Year’s Resolution.  Did your resolution fall in the category of saving money, to become healthier or be a better steward of your local community? Well, TransIT has the perfect solution to incorporate all three categories into one resolution – an alternative commute from your typical single occupant vehicle!

Throughout 2016, TransIT has many great events planned to get you into the alternative commute groove.

Calendar of Events

  • March 1 –May 31: Employer Commute Challenge

Does your employer provide incentives to encourage alternative commutes? Or do you feel there is some room for improvement to encourage more employees into alternative commutes? During the months of March, April, and May EcoLogix Group and TransIT Services of Frederick County will be conducting a commute challenge for Frederick County employers and employees to pledge to use alternative commutes. For more information, stay tuned for our upcoming blog on the commute challenge or email transit@frederickcountymd.gov
