Craig Morgan visits veterans before concert

Craig Morgan was in West Virginia on July 5 for a concert at the Event Center at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, in Charles Town. Earlier in the day, Morgan, who is an Army veteran, took time to visit with veterans at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

He recently was awarded the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal for his dedication to entertaining troops and their families with the USO. According to a press release from the event center and casino, Morgan said, “I was honored to spend time with fellow service members who share such a passion and love for our country, especially on this Fourth of July weekend!”

Aaron Lewis will be at the Event Center on July 20 and 21, with shows at 9 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday. The Grammy Award nominee has produced many hits, including those echoing his traditional country roots: “Country Boy,” “Granddaddy’s Gun” and “That Ain’t Country.”

Other upcoming country artists at the Event Center include the Charlie Daniels Band will be in concert there on Aug. 3, Jamey Johnson on Oct. 12 and 13, and “A Clint Black Christmas with Lisa Hartman Black” on Dec. 7 and 8.
