Console Release for SSFIV: Arcade Edition? Don”t hold your breath.

Some disappointing news for Super Street Fighter IV fans. Turns out that Yun and Yang (Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma possibly) won't be making any appearances on consoles any time soon. Yoshinori Ono, the producer of Super Street Fighter IV, stated that there are no current plans to bring the characters, as well as character tweaks, to consoles.

Ono stated that Yun and Yang, the twins from the Street Fighter III series, are intentionally strong and to bring them to consoles would result in a serious imbalance.

Yet, Ono responded to his twitter feed to a poster that it would be over his dead body if Arcade Edition will be skipping a console release.

I have no idea what's going on over there in Japan. You can't seem to get a direct answer from anyone about anything nowadays.

The only way to play Arcade Edition is to head to an arcade. But, since they are pretty much dead, except for a few across the country, your chances of finding one are slim to none. Next week, I will be visiting an arcade playing from AE and KOF XIII so I will give my impressions on both soon after!
