Continuing from the previous post, Capcom still had quite a few surprises to uncover for its annual Captivate event.
Here, we have Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. This game reinterprets the events of Dead Rising 2 through the perspective of Frank West; the protagonist of the first Dead Rising. The game will be released this fall for the PS3, XBOX 360 & PC. Check it out!
Next up is Asura's Wrath; developed by CyberConnect2 (makers of the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja and .hack titles). Release date is this fall for the 360 & PS3. Simply put, Asura is a deity who has been betrayed by the gods and he swears vengence to those who has done him wrong. Judging by the clip below, I'd hate to run into this guy in a back alley...
Finally, we have Dragon's Dogma; a title that bears a striking resemblance to Monster Hunter, only more focused on action. This will be released in early 2012 for the PC, 360 and PS3. It does somewhat remind me of The Elder Scrolls series given it's medieval nature. It really looks good and I would like to get my hands on a demo...if one even exists.
Surprisingly, there wasn't any mention of Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition at the Captivate event this year. However, Capcom has the game under an information embargo so details about the game will be released at some point in the near future.
With all of these new titles coming soon, my wallet is going to take a big hit in the next couple of months.
