Horror on the Corner

Not all art is found in galleries.

Since moving to Frederick I eagerly await each new holiday display in a window at the corner of Bentz and West Patrick Street. Though it looks like a store window, it’s a private home.

Over the years the window has been getting more creative and complex.¬†This year’s Halloween project may be the best yet. Its inspiration comes from Edgar AllanPoe’s¬†The Cask of Amontillado. Come take a look. There’s even an animatronic Fortunato trapped behind the brick wall.

This year’s may be the most complex, but last year’s was the funnest with the alien and its spacecraft coming out of a cornfield. It made for great photos!
